A 'Whitelisted Customer' is a person who has called on your ExoPhone(s) at least once in the past 6 months. This has been put in place in order to ensure that both your company and Exotel abide by the regulations laid down by TRAI with regard to contacting the numbers registered in the NCPR(DND) numbers.

The customer 'whitelist' is the list of all customer numbers (as defined above). You can make transactional calls to all numbers in the 'whitelist'. This list may include numbers registered in the NCPR as well.

For Eg: If Mr. Rajni who is registered in the NCPR(DND registry) calls your ExoPhone(s) on Oct 1st, his number will be whitelisted till March 31st (6 months). This means you will be able to make transactional calls to him during this period. But from Apr 1st, you will not be able to call him unless he calls again to your number during that period.

Note: This process applies only to the numbers registered in the NCPR. You should be able to make transactional calls to customers who are not part of the NCPR registry without the whitelisting process.
